Healing Through Music & Worship
Communicating with a Higher Power
Music is not merely entertainment — it is medicine for the soul. Worship connects heart, mind, and spirit in a way that words alone cannot. The Holy Spirit moves through song, and singing — whether alone or in community — activates healing at every level of your being.
The Power of Song
- Redirects the mind from anxiety to gratitude
- Creates a direct channel to God’s presence
- Shifts your emotional state almost instantly
- Unites community around a common spirit
- Releases joy — deep, circumstance-independent gladness
Meditation & Prayer
- Deep connection — trains the mind toward clarity and calmness
- Prayer is communicating with God, your Higher Power
- The Word of God cuts through fear, deception, and bondage
- Scripture is meant to be declared — not just passively read
- Healing begins with loving God, yourself, and others
Praying for Your Children
- God has given us the tremendous privilege of prayer
- The fervent prayer of a righteous person makes tremendous power available (James 5:16)
- Are you right with God? Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit
- Then you can come boldly and fight for your children
Stop the worrying — everything will work out fine. If there is something in your life you don’t want, stop worrying about it and stop talking about it. The energy you put into it keeps it alive. Withdraw your energy and it goes away. When you let go of things, they let go of you.
— Unknown, shared by Cory WaldnerThe Holy Spirit doesn’t just live in you — it changes you. Here are the fruits that grow when you walk in the Spirit:
Love
Selfless, unconditional — agape love
Joy
Gladness not based on circumstances
Peace
Harmonious wellbeing, freedom from disputes
Patience
Enduring hardship without anger
Kindness
Acts of goodness and generosity
Goodness
Morally upright, reflects God’s character
Faithfulness
Trustworthy, reliable, and loyal
Gentleness
Mild and considerate in actions and words
Self-Control
Restraining impulses and desires
Things That Block Healing & Worship
- Alcohol — a depressant that dulls spirit and body
- Constant negative media — it feeds fear and anxiety
- Isolation — human connection is vital and it’s plummeting
- Worry and anxious talk — energy feeds what it focuses on
- Holding grudges — God can’t fill a heart gripping resentment
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret — we must all suffer from one of the two. Choose discipline, and let worship be your daily practice.
